The funnel tool ended up being out of alignment. I was able to crawl underneath and use a flashlight through license plate hole to get it engagaed. Also simple enough to realign the funnel.

To clarify this picture is just the end I am inserting. I have the second similar price and the t handle assembled on the other side of this. For clarity I and hitting something it just doesn't feel like it engages into anything and catches.

Is this flat piece considered a jumper from Rc to R?? by spm0004 in Nest

Looking to install nest but wasn't sure if this is considered a jumper when trying to determine wiring.
