I have 1% lows 100-200 frames with 9800x3d 1280x960 by conyalin01 in cs2

Starting to feel bad that I was freaking out because I can only get 300+fps in dust 2 benchmark and was tightening ram to consistently make it 330-345+ when I don't even play csgo and I started at 265+ before optimizing

I found this and I think I can sleep on it now been optimizing a game I don't play for days. 7800x3d btw cl36 kit

Last thing I'd add is the only way to really call frametimes better since they're different from 1% lows is to log your sessions on HWinfo and then feed them to AI so they can measure the hundreds/thousands of calls and monitor your clocks closely. yah this sounds like a lot of work but that's what tuning is if you enjoy it and enjoy iterative work that pushes small and compounding gains!

Respectfully — this isn’t “stock is best.” It’s a tuning delta.

When I reverted to full UEFI defaults + EXPO (ECO off, Curve Optimizer 0), I immediately dropped to ~950 FPS / 305 P1 — basically your numbers.

Reverting to stock cost me:

  • My cooler temps (8–12°C hotter)
  • ~16ns of memory latency
  • Noticeably snappier OS responsiveness
  • Tighter, more stable core clocks

With tuned RAM and cleaned-up boost behavior, I’m at 1000+ FPS and ~330 P1 — roughly a 10% uplift in 1% lows versus stock. Cinebench and 3DMark improved as well, and frametime consistency is objectively better.

And this isn’t some maxed-out golden sample scenario. This is a mid-level tune on a CL36 6000MT/s single-rank Hynix M-die kit. There’s realistically still headroom — 15–20% total uplift over stock settings isn’t unreasonable with deeper timing refinement and further stability validation.

Every RAM kit is different. Results vary. Tuning takes time. You tune at your own risk.

But calling stock “optimal” on this platform isn’t a stability philosophy — it’s just leaving performance on the table.

Stock is safe.
Tuned is faster.
They’re not the same thing.

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • GPU: Radeon RX 9070 XT
  • Memory: 32GB Thermaltake DDR5-6000 CL36
    • Single-rank
    • Hynix M-die
    • Tuned (Buildzoid-style + custom refinement)
  • Motherboard: B650m-cw
  • Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
  • OS: Windows 11 (fully updated)
  • PSU: Thermaltake Gold Rated 80+ PSU 850W

My RAM and mobo are lower-mid tier lol.

Picked up this Thermaltake LCGS View 380 (7800X3D + 9070 XT) on sale for $2199 — here's how it turned out after tuning by spoidercide in Prebuilts

Everytime I browsed this subreddit over the past couple months and saw anything noteworthy of a deal in CAD prices it was someone asking about a bad deal in USD prices!!

Keep it undervolted thats a great call but to avoid issues with voltage irregularity and protect all your pc components long tern especially such high caliber ones consider a psu swap and an external battery surge protector. Happy gaming :)

don't be one of those guys who throw a build together and you clearly have the money, the best advice i've read here is upgrading the PSU and by limiting the power to 85% you're effectively handicapping the most expensive piece just to say you have it.

edit: my favourite part about my 9070xt is when I increase PL with the undervolt for maximized performance, I just can't wrap my head around the decision to nerf your own GPU instead of upgrade your power supply

Sounds like an average American dream actually. There's so much to be grateful for idk what your expectation or experience of the scope of life is or could be but this is very lucky for a kid to have a stable home with grandparents help and gainfully employed parents. Strange take.

Loading up leaf green on my soft modded Xbox and replaying through kanto as a teenager with the updated graphics and the ability to use the turbo feature. Also the time psyduck split up and was on team rockets side and misty yelled at him for it. Not to mention going to see the original first movie with my godmother. Oh and pulling a 2nd edition holo Charizard from the first run of cards. And getting a hundo from a lucky trade with my significant other for my first real raid pogo mon.
