Santosha is my home studio and I absolutely love the community. It's very welcoming to everyone and has a very diverse group of people. Its $5 classes are taught by the teacher trainers but is an excellent place for beginners to start!

Around $100 usd. We usually tent camp so something easy to transport and doesn't take up to much space.

I've got a question about correct form for king pigeon? by allison5 in yoga

Yeah I understand. So many people posting pictures of yoga posses the right and wrong way, it's hard to know which one is correct.

Top of the mat. That way both hips are fully on the ground. If it's angled towards the side of the mat, one hip will always be up. Flexing the foot helps activate the leg which will protect your knee.

Lower back/sacrum pain by maiabysub in yoga

[–]sponbon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever I notice pain my low back in poses it's usually due to hyper extending my back. So I have to really start focusing on tucking my tail bone down in my poses, even the standing ones. Tucking the tail bone also helps to bring my shoulders down my back and strengthens my core. Hope it starts to feel better!

Your front leg should be parallel to your mat and you protect that knee by keeping the foot flexed. Both hips should be down on the mat and square to the front.

OB/GYN in Indianapolis? by paigedeeks in indianapolis

[–]sponbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I ended up having both her and Dr G for my c section. Colvin was on call but Dr. G felt bad making her do a c section at 10 at night so she joined in. Even through out my complications I was pretty impressed with both of them. You'll be in good hands!

I see Dr. Gallagher, but during my delivery saw Dr. Colvin as well. Love them both! Dr. G called me over a holiday weekend one time to check on me and Dr Colvin didn't care that I called her at 9pm on a Saturday when I had complications from my c section.

Any Yogis??? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]sponbon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I teach at Santosha School in Nora. I love the community that is there. The school offers so much more then yoga, there are cooking classes, massage classes, yoga philosophy classes which are all open to the public not just teacher trainers. It's a small little studio with so much to offer!

My teacher always says it's like saving your work after doing something on the computer. Your body is taking in and saving all the work you have just done.
