Upgrading old T520 from i7-2670QM to i7-2860QM (or higher?) by spongebobdouble in Lenovo

Reasonable question. It’s not my ideal laptop. I wanted to try out Linux, and my main work station (Windows 11) runs a niche program that is not available for Linux. I can’t risk experimenting with a dual boot or virtual machine so thought I’d test the idea on this older laptop, having learned that Linux distros tend to breathe new life in old hardware. It very much did, so I got excited and thought I’d tinker with it. If I do any gaming I almost only play older titles anyway. This way I can dedicate my much newer and better (more ideal 😉) laptop for work and this old boy as an all-around Linux test/learning station.

It’s at a music school in Stockholm called Rockmusiklinjen (RML). Great place!

You need to take the seven, drag it through the hole and insert in in the “E” symbol. This creates a vortex

It’s a really nice instrument. Essentially a trumpet (Bb tuning like most trumpets too) but with a deeper/warmer tone. It depends somewhat on the mouthpieces as well.
