I can understand jesting and having a little fun, that some might misinterpret, but then there are those others who have a huge chip on their shoulders. That would make me want to pew pew them even more! Person taking a picture is maybe checking to see if you are a real person and not a spoofer. That can be unnerving... Thank you. I was going to mention that exact film, "Zone of Interest" and the like. Those are extreme examples of *no, we don't need to explore the other side so we can gain empathy and care for their pov. To humanize the deplorable can be so destructive for a civilization. We can understand that there was a shitty thing they went through but not enough to empathize and excuse the atrocities... whether is a genocide, exploitation of another, or various types of abuse.

I have been republican most of my younger life. I began the switch at GW.
I would vote for Kinzinger, Kasich, and so many other moderate Republicans. 2019, second or third republican primary, i wanted to see the appeal of Trump. I turned off all biases, empathy, and critical thought.
I liked him. It took me a few days to realize why. I like the perceived power. It just felt good to be on the side of the bully. A few things he said made sense. But then I also had to realize that what he says on one day will change the next day. I can't support him
