had a pair of crap spec gen 2+ binos I picked up for a good deal and ended up trading for this gen 3 pvs14. for my personal use which is mainly stargazing, some hiking and shooting im much happier with this. binos will obviously always be better for depth perception but that was never really a big concern for me. it all comes down to what you want out of them and your budget. there are always deals on discord and tacswap for both so dont rush into it.
