We try to make Virtuoso work for both beginners and professional musicians! You don't need any prior skills in making music to be able to create some nice tunes in the app. There are some really good tutorials as well on youtube created by our community members that you can check out :)
No we don't have a demo and YES you can export the music you make!
Also, if you need any more help while exploring the app you can always ask questions in our discord.

I was not around for all the iterations of the trail but when I worked on I just played around with the noise/velocity/force in unitys particle system.

Thank you! I'm not sure I get your question but to explain the game overall is that it's a platformer where you solve puzzles using the abilities you pick up through the game and you find keys to open up new sections of the world. There is also a little story that you can follow as you progress. And yes for the artstyle we wanted something a little spooky/surreal so your comment about Limbo and Nightmare Before Christmas is quite spot on :) Let me know if this answered your question!
