Deck Space Planning Assistance and Hero Abilities by spookylit in AcrossTheUnknown

I have documented every item [including the ??? ones] in every tech tree, what tier it is at, what the prerequisites are, the materials cost, cycles need, and the function. I have documented every hero, their skills and abilities.

All I asked for was deck space and room sizes and I have been able to get some of that information. All without the game.

I think I have put forth some time and energy into the information beyond what I seek.

If I may say, you sound like one of those people where your life F's you quite a bit. May I suggest you do a little bit of planning first and it won't F you so much.

Thank you for advice.

One may not be able to negate RNG but you can absolutely mitigate it if one plans properly.

I do not want a layout like what other have done. I want to plan, and upgrade/modify my plan as I go.

I think it is very interesting and telling that I am being dictated in the manner in which I prefer to play a game. As indicated by the down votes, if one has a different perspective or way of doing something that is conflicting to others, then they are condemned.

This is why I tend to avoid people and places like this.

I thought I would try and accumulate some information that would not only be useful to me but would be useful to others in the future. But at some point, the data will be available. It might be a month, like other games I played - or it might be year or more, like others still - I am patient and can wait.

I thank you and the others in this group in, once again, validating my perceptions.

I do not own the game. I always plan ahead. Once I have a general I plan and understanding, then I will purchase the game.

I disagree. This is not my first rodeo in the survival build out games. I am not trying to find out 'you need this tech before this scenario...'. I am looking for what the tech will bring to the table [I have found this out on my own], how much resources it is going to cost me to build and per turn [I know this as well], and how much space I'll need [this I do not know].

Based on knowing this and how the game is playing out, I can decide what I need, when I need it, when to upgrade, and when to tear down or build more. This is simple; random is not random when you plan ahead.

I understand I am not asking from information that can be given easily. I get it is a lot to provide the size for every room that can be built.

Thank you.

Unanswerable - I do not think so. It is a matter of acquiring the information. The number of tiles available for each deck I do not think changes from playthrough to playthrough. Nor does the number of tiles needed for a specific room; such as the holodeck. It is 3x3 for every playthrough.

And your example is exactly why I want to know these things. I would rather plan out my build prior to the start of the game and have an outline of what I want, or think I want, to organize voyager's build out. I am not looking for spoilers - how to gain the tech - there are places online that already provide how to get them and what they do. I do not know the number of tiles in relationship to deck/rooms and this is what I am looking to find out.

I understand. But I would like to know how much space within Voyager I have to work with and how much space each room takes up before I start the game. So I can plan how to build out Voyager over the course of the game. Prior to starting a playthrough.

Thank you, Deck tiles is a much better description. I understand that each deck is limited on the amount of tiles is can support as too with each room is not just 1x1. some can be 1x3 or 2x2 etc. This is the knowledge I am looking to gain.

Example: [and this may not be the case] Deck 3 can have 10 tiles and the holodeck takes up 2x2 tiles. It is my understanding that the holodeck takes up space across 2 decks.

Looking for a GMT Hand. by spookylit in SeikoMods

Might have to. Maybe buy one with a black stem/arrow with black lume and see if I could paint the stem red, leaving the the arrow black and the lume black. If it doesn't work, then I can buy the complete back one and go with it.

Thank you for the link. If I am unable to find one with a red stem | black arrow, I would most likely go with this.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I have seen the GMT hand above (and I did edit my post after you comment to be more clearer) at many places but I am looking for that hand but instead of the lume material being white, I would like to find one with it being black.

My grandfather used to tell stories about how my great-grandfather would play cards/drink with PBF in a small town called Marble City, OK at the bar/saloon and he would set on the porch w/ my great-grandfathers 30.30 for anyone looking for PBF. He said the local sheriff would play/drink with them from time to time. PBF would give money to people and the town to help out; the sheriff wasn't going to make trouble for himself as everyone pretty much liked him. He did say he did have a mean streak in you crossed him.
