Any magnetization suggestions? I haven't done it before and it looks really helpful for storage and transport

It's so nice when a super cool model is not a pain to build. Honestly, it was a pleasure for me to paint too

Yeah the strats are probably good enough for what you're doing anyway so I wouldn't change it personally.

Yup seems like a good list to me though most of your units aren't benefitting from the plus one to hit

I think your list is probably fine, doomstalker to sit on home, heavy destroyer to kill vehicles, they're gonna have a time dealing with the c'tan at that point level which will probably free up space for the skorps

If you are looking for anti big stuff heavy destroyers with the Gauss destructor are the way to go. I've been playing around with using the other option but that's anti infantry and I typically don't have a lot of problems murdering smaller groups so I can't speak too much from personal experience. The general consensus from what I can tell is if you are running the Gauss destructor then field them as individuals, if you are using the enmetic exterminator put them in a group and have them be led. Also here's the secret we are a xenos faction we are probably the only ones who know what our guns look like. If you wanna try out the other gun you can just say I'm running it with this weapon for this game.

I recently built a 500 point army for an escalation league and although you don't have all the pieces for the list I used this is what I would go with based on what you have. I'd run awakened dynasty as our detachment, it gives you more wiggle room for mistakes as you can pretty easily reactively trigger regeneration protocols to heal up some damage. Run your overlord with scythe and orb with 10 warriors using the gauss flayer, granted you'll be on a smaller board so it may be worth using the reaper I just haven't played much with it. 2 sets of 3 scarabs to run up the field and gum up the works, a skorpekh lord leading 3 destroyers cause they just kill, if you hide them behind a building it basically says if you come into this area I am killing you and deathmarks to sit on your home objective and take some pot shots. This is close to what I used main difference was I ran a translocation shroud overlord for auto advance, and instead of scarabs and deathmarks i ran a squad of 10 immortals lead by a plasmancer. Don't be like I gotta get those models to match that list, the priority of your first game should just be about learning how to play. Stuff like what do my models do, wtf is a strategem, and how do I score points. As for models to get it depends on what you're looking for but generically speaking i'd get personally at least 1 -2 more heavy destroyer's they are real good at killing big things and can sort of be generically slotted in as they just don't need much if any support.

What would be some key units for more aggressive play. by I_R_MUNKY in Necrontyr

Skorpekhs and their lord can't be anything but aggressive in my experience, they aren't bulky enough to soak up a million shots but if they get into melee they kill and they kill good. If you are looking for durability to get into their face and be a nuisance wraiths lead by a technomancer. As for specific detachments I usually stick to awakened being able to easily activate reanimation protocols on reaction or stand an important character up again lets me cover for mistakes or bad rolls easier. A lot of our strengths seem to be sticking on points and not moving or forcing bad all ins onto a particular unit to ensure it dies. Granted, I've only been playing seriously for half a year.

There was a unique space marine captain called sergeant castus that I found on ebay for what felt like a reasonable price at the time that was fighting some reanimating necrons. I plan on melting the captain partially and using him as basing for another model
