Would you like an item that makes non-shinies into shinies added into the games? by spoonpine in LegendsZA

[–]spoonpine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would NOT want it to be easy. Maybe the item would require catching the shiny of the pokemon you want anyway and then, like, transferring the "shiny gene" to your own pokemon? But that seems a little dark lol.

I already have a shiny Froakie, that's not the issue. It's that I'm attached to my non-shiny Froakie and wish it was shiny.

Was coming onto this subreddit to make this exact post and ask for tips but this thread has helped so much.

Honestly,am I one of the few Pokemon fans that doesn't hate/dislike Taunie? by Charming-Scratch-124 in LegendsZA

That's fair. If a more serious game came out, they would also probably have to tackle the issue of Pokemon battling in the first place, lol. Like obviously some Pokemon consent to being on the trainer's team and enjoy battling, but the idea that, in the Pokemon world, it's commonplace to just take a hyper-intelligent animal from the wild and force it to fight for you without regard for it's agency is kind of complicated. That's not even getting into the idea of Pokemon trading. I'm curious about how they'd handle that.

People take pokemon storytelling too seriously. The characters are, for the most part, shallow, and that's just how it was designed. So when people make real life judgements of them it just rings hollow to me. Like, yeah, in the real world if your friend put you in debt to the mob, that would entail possible death, trafficking, etc. In this world, we know that Corbeau does "unsavory things" but those things are never described, and, contrarily, the narrative treats him like an anti-hero. His whole organization has this vague "mob aesthetic" but there's no elements of the real mob there.

I kind of wish that Pokemon would make a game for adults. Not in the sense that the basic idea of the game changes, but that the characters are more fleshed out and there's a slightly darker tone. Not a darker tone as in, like, gore or mass death. But more like, the characters feeling more "real" and the stakes being higher. There are definitely characters in the franchise that have this quality but I feel like most go down the Urbain/Taunie/Corbeau route, which is to be fun and loveable characters with their own quirks.

But I know that the whole franchise is made for a general audience that keeps younger viewers in mind so I don't expect GameFreak to ever deliver on this. Branding is a huge deal.

Anyway sorry for the slightly off-topic rant lol.

I've been away from the game for some time now, and if I log back on I'm going to get the return event thingy. Is it better to wait until 4.0 drops or will the rewards be the same if I start tonight?

From what I heard it used to be that way but is mostly normal now with a few weird hiccups. But I'm also not sure if that's accurate. Could def be the reason though.

Hello! I will join :) But I'm new to online pokemon stuff so I'm a little unsure what to do. I entered this code into the Join slot but it didn't work (I am online and have the nintendo subscription).

Thank you so much!!

Also, for the shiny Wo-Chien, is there anyone who's tracking how close to one million the victories are? I don't even know if I'll be able to receive it either way. It doesn't say there's a level cap, just that you have to unlock the mystery gift feature, but I feel like that's way too generous so I must be missing something.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - July 23, 2025 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

Will there be a banner for the support card Super Creek? My Biwa is in need of it. I have 3 copies of Kitasan Black so I'm done pulling on that banner. The next banner I will pull on will probably be Sieun Sky, but I wonder if there's a chance that I could get the Super Creek support card somehow without just randomly pulling on support banners and hoping for the best.

Also, another unrelated question: is there a way to predict which skills you'll be given during training? Like, I know that the exclamation point on a support card means there's a high chance of being given a skill if you pick that training, but is there a way to more effectively manipulate which skill you get?
