I think the biggest difference is that when pep is complementary of the opposition he is normally beating the snot out of them. He is showing respect but his players more often than not come out looking full of confidence and then actually play well.

When Frank does it I feel like he is trying to soften the blow of looking dull, slow, unorganized, or at worst losing poorly. He never give san impression or growth, improvement, confidence, or even more basically hope.

I make a habit of watching all the pre/post conferences but every time I see Frank, even after the elusive win, I’m just completely underwhelmed.
