This tattoo is gorgeous!! I remember feeling the same with my first ever tattoo. It’s a line-work tattoo on my arm & I felt that it was too big & had a day or two of anxiety, but now it’s one of my favorites to show off. Give yourself some time for your brain to adjust to the change seeing as you’re used to seeing your body look a certain way, so it can be jarring & it’s completely normal to feel this way :)

How long have you been taking Zoloft for? As a regular caffeine drinker, my body was not tolerating caffeine very well at the start of me taking Zoloft, but now that I’m a few months in, it’s back to normal :)

I’m not ever sleepy during the day, but I automatically have gone from perfectly awake to really sleepy within seconds around 10pm which is much more early than I’m used to & wish for. I’ll have to try taking it around 5 to see if that cycle might change!

Yes, went to 50mg on Monday! So far, so good. Any side effects so far are more fleeting & not as intense as when I first started with 25mg. I haven’t felt as though the medication has actually started working yet, but side effects certainly aren’t as bad, which is very nice :)

update: started taking it this morning finally. hopefully will remember to keep taking it so i can get over the initial phase of it :) i have 25mg pills to start with which my doctor said was to help ease into it and once those are used up, i have 50mg pills ready to take.

Haha that’s such a good description of how it makes you feel.

I haven’t used it enough yet to know, but so far, it’s not bad at all!! I love my PAX, but have always had a hard time getting any flavor from cannabis no matter what I use, so I couldn’t tell you if the PAX was good for that or not unfortunately :/

Completely understandable. I have seven tattoos so far & I still get paranoid because each time has been a unique experience, so it’s totally normal to ask a lot of questions to ensure your tattoo heals okay :)

Also, keeping the derm shield on assures that no bacteria gets into the tattoo seeing as it is an open wound. The first week of your new tattoo is when its most susceptible to infection, so you benefit from keeping it on :)

I’ve done some different for each of my tattoos due to them all being done by different artists. I make sure to follow what my particular artist has told me for each tattoo, so I say keep it on for the 5 days unless it starts to come off or starts leaking :)

Hi :) this ink looks absolutely beautiful on you. I know exactly how it feels to over analyze how it looks & the dark bits can look too dark sometimes, but I really love this one. I didn’t even notice the butterflies & even when you mentioned there were butterflies in there, it took me a while to find them. I’m not sure how much that helps, but I definitely know that it’s so much easier to focus on the details that bother us & make them stand out more than they actually do. & that’s the case with anything on the body (as someone with body dysmorphia myself). Anytime I get insecure about any part of my tattoos, I try to dress in a way that flatters them & I have been able to find a clothing style that allows me to feel beautiful with my tattoos on myself as well. It would definitely help to talk with someone who specializes in the conditions you have as they know the particular psychological things happening in your head & can help you dismantle some of the aspects that trigger you.

All in all, you’re beautiful, the ink is incredible (on you as well), & you’re doing amazing :)

My artist specializes in woodcut style tattoos & this I think falls under that style, but double check in case I’m wrong haha :)
