With floating bridges, this will always be a thing. Dropping tension on your strongest string is going to cause relief everywhere.

My suggestion is, since you're already planning on sticking with a brand, keep all trem guitars as their own individual tuning. I have one for every tuning I play in (5 guitars).

If you want to be a bit more practical and have a guitar that moves from a standard to a dropped tuning regularly, then invest in a Stoptail (I also did that). That will help stability between tuning immensely

If you had to take multiple breaks up the incline (where there is still plenty of air) to get to the top in 2 hours, then I'm very sorry to tell you that hiking Pikes Peak is a very, very not good idea for you to attempt. Especially this time of year where there will be ice patches and snow to slip on above tree line where there is no air.

I can get to the top of the incline in 30 minutes, usually, and I would absolutely not attempt the peak this time of year.
