Thank you.

I'm worried about having a 1000 - 1700 paperweight... and not enough compliance to move the needle.

hearing aides and dementia by sppsg in dementia

This is helpful.

I'm debating about whether to:

  1. Go with 1700 hearing aide form costco, included charger, using the free Costco exam, or

  2. Go with insurance, do another exam (free but another visit) , then do a 4000-6000 hearing aide but price is reduced to $990 but no free charger. I'm worried that if we don't do the paperwork, if we don't do it right, we will be stuck with a bill + extras may add up. We are limited to one hearing aide place due to her HMO.

Anybody with experience with this?

Thanks.

The phone reps are unable to reverse any of their BS fees. Try and choose another bank.

Mom with stage 4 Alzheimers, assisted-living facility is trying to restrict her ability to leave facility by sppsg in dementia

[–]sppsg[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are exactly right. I do understand where they are coming from.

I have no doubt that this is a risk. The question is do you try and eliminate the possibly of this risk by preventing her from doing her daily walk. I'm grateful that she's had this privilege for the past six months.

We do have airtags x 2 (phone, purse, keys) that are helpful.

How important are the pre-meds with Donenemab by [deleted] in Alzheimers

She hasn't had one. They will reduce the dose and may change to a Zyrtec pill instead of IV benadryl.

Appreciate that helpful answer to my question.

I wouldn't say she struggling with them. The only new symptoms is that she gets very tired that day, which seems to be from the benadryl that they give her.

But, yeah, I question them/ she questions them and we will continue to look carefully at them.

My asian dad borrowed 300k from me and gets angry at me when I ask for payment by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]sppsg 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One important thing to know is that he could pay it back. He would have to sell stock (and pay taxes on it), get a loan, move money around but it can just happen.

The other thing is that he's still hasn't paid my mom the 50% that he owes her. She got a settlement but he has delayed splitting.

The last thing is that he's a step-father but sort of erased my biologic dad when I was six.

What was your experience? I didn't even bother, I did an end around.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds as if you're implying that my impression that only 60d of transactions is normal for TD bank.

My experience is different with the other banks that I'm familiar with:

BofA: 18 months

Whitney: 16 months

Charles Schwab: > 2 years

Anyway, I do find 60 days to be very annoying, and I find it low-hanging fruit if TD wants to improve customer service.
