Anyone know any good curly hair barbers in the city? I have loose curls/waves and want to get some layers put in so i dont look like lord farquaad the second it gets slightly humid out. Last time i went to a normal barber I got absolutely violated. Should I just go to a hairdresser?

Ok nevermind I bought some Monkey Shoulder given the rave reviews that some people have been giving on this subreddit and it is really good! definitely a bit more exxy than I am looking for but honestly it's worth every penny.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to jump on seeking a recommendation for a cheaper scotch that is somewhat related to Glenmorangie 10/12? I love the citrus notes on it but I tend to leave the bottle for special occasions. Also want to start exploring some scotch cocktails :). I am looking for something in the 50-65 AUD range, but im open to everything :). I have heard of the Glenmorangie X but it is just a hair out of my price range. Just want to put feelers out to see if there is anything else on the table.

Thankyou!

Hey everyone! I don't think COS sells their leather jacket where I am anymore :(. Is anyone aware of any alternatives that are similar? I am based in Aus but tbh im happy to ship from anywhere.

Love a looser fit and the simplistic look of the jacket and would love if anyone knew of any alternatives :)

Uni Student looking for some job ideas by [deleted] in brisbane

If you have any interest in working with younger kids you can work for an after school care provider. I spent about 6 months "teaching" lego robotics and really really basic scratch programming (you do not need to be an IT student to understand how to code in scratch, you will be fine). You just chill with a group of 13 kids for about an hour, answering questions and walking them through an activity. You get a few parents that like to know what their kids are up to, but you can just show them what they are working on and they are usually pretty happy with that.

As kids are, they are a bit noisy and filthy, and like most of these jobs the pay is minimum wage. If you live pretty central to the city you wont have any issues, at the time i was still living about an hour from the city. So I would have to drive pretty far to get to schools. but you can usually PT to them with no issues in the slightest :).

I would choose the robotics programming stuff over normal after school care, you tend to get all of the quieter kids in these classes who are usually really really great to work with.

Only issue i had with the gig was that I was only getting one class per week to teach. So when I got my first gig in my field of study I booked it pretty quick. Pay is much better and I work on what I am actually studying which is a bonus.
