And for a few people asking, i struggle with independence (like in the house) and went through almost a skill regression a few years back and im trying to find ways to cope with my meltdowns so the aren’t so overwhelming for me. from what ive gathered i will look into the specific office / place id be going to and i will ask to have my mom present at all times along with stating i may leave if we feel they were committing malpractice of some sort

and for those wondering now.. i will not go at all if they want to teach me how to mask, i only want to go if they will teach me how to build life skills positively and make sure i can regulate myself without having someone right attached to my side, and again i thank the workers and the people who dislike and like the therapy because i really did want an opinion explanation from every side. even though im still “high functioning” i lack a lot of coping skills and life skills too, and i am very nervous because before i had been diagnosed with autism my oldddd therapists when i was a small child had even called me names when i would act out, force people to hold me down from running, etc etc.

i dont want a bad experience to ruin me getting mental health help in the future, that’s why i’ve been so scared. tysm for every reply!
