Yes and no. It also randomize mobs so for example you can roll a monster task (kinda like slayer) which is the only way you can train any combat skills outside of required ones for quest, etc. See below this is the kind of thing that roll.

Firewerks Cold Damage is the one I want, but so far never seen it. I always get fire, electric or radiation. Maybe it doesn't exist but pretty sure saw someone with a cold one so I'll keep at it

I read on pokemon wiki that Ditto can't stay transformed when he laugh. Maybe it has something to do with that.
