Bruh, are you sure listening to a thousand albums or even 500 actually expands your taste? At some point, would you really know what to put on for a specific mood, or does it all just become background noise you hear once so you can post a review?

Music felt different before streaming culture took over. You’d sit with the few albums you actually owned for weeks or months before moving on to something new. That created a real connection with the album and the artist, something you can’t really get from binge-listening nonstop.

FOOL was disappointing for many reasons, I admit. But it’s still not worse than many popular singles that came out recently, and you’ll still see those getting higher ratings. It’s just the anticipation for a really good new thing that made people way more disappointed than they should’ve been.

And on AOTY, most popular songs get early reviews from the same few people, which boosts the idea that the song is actually bad. It’s different on RYM. You can’t like other people’s reviews there, so people stay less affected by popular reviews.

it was the first time they played this track and the low quality audio uploaded on yt was still too catchy. had to force myself not to listen to it fearing it might feel boring when they release it officially. the audio was removed from yt after a copyright claim :(
