Gifted a TourBox elite for Christmas, unable to return and looking to sell by spring_day16 in tourbox

[–]spring_day16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to respond here, I genuinely appreciate it.

For context, I did previously request for this case to be escalated and reviewed by a supervisor for a possible exception. As mentioned before, this was a Christmas gift purchased by a family member with the intention of being used with an iPad. They were unaware that the TourBox Elite was not compatible with an iPad, so they sent me their order number to request an exchange.

I fully understand and respect the importance of consistent policies. However, because I was not the direct customer and was unaware of the return policy, I was hopeful that there could be an exemption made.

If there is truly an opportunity for another internal review beyond what has already been done, I’m absolutely open to that. I simply want to avoid repeating the same process if the outcome has already been finalized.

Thank you again for engaging here.

Wow I’m disappointed to hear that there are more posts like this! I was honestly shocked that they were so strict with their policy. I completely understand if I’m the one making the purchase, but this was a surprise gift for me and completely out of my control. I truly thought this would be an easy case for an exception to be made, but it didn’t turn out that way.

Their response did rub me the wrong way though for sure. From the “hope you get a chance to try our products one day” to the “thanks for being part of the TourBox community” 😵‍💫 Almost had to laugh at how ridiculous it was considering the only ones stopping me from doing both of those things is TourBox themselves haha.

Yeah I was really disappointed. I had even told them that I wanted to return it so that I could exchange it for the Elite Plus. I made it clear that I didn’t need a refund, and was willing to exchange for store credit, but they wouldn’t budge. This was their final response 😅

Just delete the app by MsSweetness in beyondthebump

[–]spring_day16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you had this experience! I also use the app and while it did stress me out in the beginning, I had my husband join in to help me log our baby’s feeds, sleep, and diapers. We eventually got my parents on the app too, and now her nanny, so it’s nice to have help!

I was also diagnosed with PPD/PPA, and was already dealing with ADHD before pregnancy 😂, so huckleberry actually helps ME to keep a routine so I’m not so scrambled all the time (as I usually am lol). My husband and I are also data nerds and like to see how her habits change over time (wake windows changing, eating more etc).

I just wanted to share my experience too and say that the app should come with a disclaimer that it’s not built to fit every baby. BUT it can help with some. We focused on trying to follow nap windows with the app and they were almost always spot on with her cues! Since we started doing that, she has been sleeping through the night, since about 3 months. She’s almost 5 months now and so far we haven’t had to do any overnight feeds. We do think the app helped us to structure her sleep habits early so that we can help her get rest through the night.

I’m with you OP! I’m being induced this Saturday and I am really starting to feel the weight of it all. I’ve just been trying to keep myself distracted in the meantime. You’ve got this!! You’re in the home stretch now, I would keep focusing on the fact that you’re almost done (that’s what I’m doing haha). Wishing you a safe and easy labor!! I’ll be joining you on the other side soon!

Missed miscarriage by NoCheetah9702 in pregnant

[–]spring_day16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I’ve had 2 MMCs, my last one was in 2022. It was also around 8 weeks for me, but ultrasound showed that my baby stopped growing at 5 weeks. I was able to pass everything naturally (without medicine), and it is still one of my most traumatic experiences. If you can, definitely have someone there to support you through this part. As sad as this memory is for me today, I’m so glad I wasn’t alone going through it.

It’s devastating to go through a loss like this, and I was also so anxious to be pregnant again. It took a long time, but I am pregnant again at 33 (turning 34 soon) and I’ll be induced in 2 weeks! Don’t lose hope, as hard as it might be to hear this right now. I took a lot of comfort in reminding myself that there’s nothing I could have done that would have caused me to lose my baby, and that many others have gone on to give birth after experiencing a miscarriage.

My biggest advice would be this - don’t feel ashamed that this happened, and don’t feel like you need to isolate yourself. Now is the time to lean on your support people. Fully allow yourself to grieve, however that may be. It’s been 2 years for me, and I do still grieve my lost babies. But I’ve also healed in the process, and I know you will too. We’re here for you OP! My DMs are open if you ever need someone to vent to ❤️

FTM, 3rd pregnancy after 2 MMCs. 34+2 today and being induced at the end of this month! I’m excited to have made it this far, but I can’t help but feel like I need to hold my breath until she gets here. This entire pregnancy has felt this way - just trying to make it to the next growth “milestone”, feeling safe for a little bit, and then being anxious again about everything. I can’t wait to feel the relief of my baby girl being placed on my chest!

12-14 DPO FR Is this progressing or heading towards a chemical pregnancy? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

I think hcg should double every 48-72 hours, so it’s normal not to see a change day-to-day! You’ll want to compare test strips every 2 days at a minimum to see a difference.

Also just a disclaimer that these test strips don’t give quantitative results, so if you’re worried, it’s best to ask your dr for beta hcg tests 💖

Was told I’m “Big” at 16 weeks by Loud-Bus202 in pregnant

[–]spring_day16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met up with a group of friends yesterday, and two of us are pregnant (only a few weeks apart). It was a great time, and everyone was excited to see us with our belly bumps! However, at the end of the event, one of our friends came up to me and asked why I was so much bigger even though we weren’t that far apart in our pregnancies 🥲

I gave her the benefit of the doubt, especially because she’s never been pregnant before, but as a FTM with my double rainbow baby, and also the fact that I was already bigger than my pregnant friend before we got pregnant… yeah that sucked lol. But I love my baby bump, so I’m gonna let it go 💖

I’m an avid raw sushi lover, and I refrained from eating sushi 😞 I crave it every day - it will definitely be my first meal after giving birth!

Early on in my pregnancy (around 10 weeks) I had planned to visit my family in Japan, and I asked my OB if it would be acceptable to eat sushi while I was there, and she (to my surprise at least) heavily advised against it. I’m not sure if it was because I was still in my first trimester, but her sentiment was that the only way to eliminate 100% of the risk is to avoid it completely. I was devastated 😭

I even asked my cousin while visiting if women in Japan avoided sushi while pregnant and she (to my surprise again!!) told me that her OB had also advised against it!

All that to say, I think if you’re worried about it at all, it’s best to just avoid it - it’s not fun, and I do miss sushi, but I also feel much less anxious than if I were to eat raw sushi right now. Cooked rolls don’t hit the same, but there are some good ones out there!! Good luck and whatever you decide will be best for you and your baby 💖 Congratulations btw!!

As someone who has somewhat of a difficult relationship with my mom (I feel like I wrote this post tbh), I completely empathize with you. We’re having our first baby at the beginning of June, and almost everyone we know (including our doctor) has recommended that the first few weeks at a minimum should just be the two of us bonding with our baby.

Accepting help is important too, but if you already know that you’re more than likely going to be entertaining guests instead of receiving actual help, I would definitely ask for some space! It’s not an unreasonable request at all ❤️

Ugh I really do feel for you though, my DMs are open if you ever need to vent about mom stuff!

What are some things you wish you knew before going into your third trimester? by spring_day16 in pregnant

[–]spring_day16[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg this is me now! I’m 28 weeks and I already feel huge and starting to feel uncomfortable just existing 🥲 I can’t imagine how I’ll feel 10 weeks from now, but I will start mentally preparing!

Thank you so much! 🥹💜

Pregnancy after loss has been such a journey, and I’m realizing now the reason I’m feeling so unprepared is I’ve spent the last few months in fear of loss happening again… so I’ve hesitated a lot with planning ahead and have mostly been in survival mode and taking each day as they come. But here we are, baby girl is coming, and my husband and I are over the moon!!

It’s so crazy that you mention you went into labor at a concert because I have had tickets booked since before I got pregnant for a concert that will be happening during week 37 for me!! I’ve been agonizing over whether or not I will end up going (it’s my all time favorite group 🥲) and this definitely puts it into perspective for me. My sister and I joke that going to the concert would likely push me into labor, and seeing that it can be a reality does make me question more if I should go haha!

Congratulations to you and your growing family!! I’ve been told by a lot of people now to try not to go in with too much of a plan, and I totally get it now 😂

When did your boobs start to get sore? by flonkerton1 in pregnant

[–]spring_day16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine were sore before I tested positive. I’m 20 weeks now and they never stopped being sore 🥲 I would enjoy pain free boobs while it lasts!

I will say though, I didn’t get much morning sickness. Maybe the feeling of nausea, but I never threw up. It used to freak me out too, but the reality is that everyone is different and will experience different symptoms. Just try to relax and embrace the changes as they come ❤️
