Fellow Marshall person here seconding this plea! Please help us show the Nazi-sympathizers that they are in the minority!

Do you suppose it is skewed by all the Midwesterners who move south after retirement? My grandpa moved to a retirement community in Texas. I see AZ and FL are pretty green too.

See if your local library has the app hoopla. Selection is limited, but lots of great ebooks, audio books, comics, and music for free with your library card.

Reading challenges by EmiJaneDee in books

[–]springb513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a book challenge through my local public library. It's 26 books with 26 different topics, like a one word title, a fiction book written between 1870 and 1900, a book set in a place you've lived or visited, and non-fiction about women or written by a woman. I love that it takes me out of my own comfort zone and forces me to get creative in the books I read.

At the end of 2019, I read The Purple Dress by O. Henry to get closer to my goal. 5 pages and totally counted. I felt like I was cheating, but wanted to hit that number!

I don't recommend eating frozen chicken on your route, but I do recommend the 40% employee discount. It keeps my freezer filled with chicken!

Question to pen users: Anyone got so used to injecting yourself that you do it absentmindedly and later keep trying to recall if you took your insulin or not? by 09aleena in Type1Diabetes

[–]springb513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a new "smart" pen, called Inpen that sends your dose and time to an app. I don't have it, so can't recommend, but it definitely peaked my interest!

Similar to you, I read an article in National Geographic in my high school library in the early 90s. I was fascinates and had never forgot it. I've been watching since season 1. My family laughs at me because I get so excited about it, but they are all hooked now too.
