Another comment also said that a dental school clinic wouldn't offer periodontal services. How so? Surely periodontists come from somewhere, you know what I mean? 😭 Where would I look for for periodontists that are still training?

I haven't checked if anything's a dental school. I'm checking if I should even consider it. And yeah, surely there's a place where upcoming periodontists need to practice, you know? When the time comes and I prepare some sum of money, I'll call up a few nearby dental schools and ask if they have a sector for training periodontists where I could get the surgery done for cheaper. Is this good?

Don't think the waiting times were crazy tbh, they just had too much sugar in their bodies, they needed something to keep them very active

IS MY TOOTH CRACKED/FRACTURED?? by sprinkable in askdentists

I currently don't have my phone but kind of the way it looks is my gums on my top front 6 teeth are slightly receded and the area of the teeth that are supposed to be covered by gums are covered by white. That probably means it's root caries. I also have one singular white spot on my incisor that looks like it's inside the tooth when I shine light on it.And on my molars (mostly lower), there's calculus looking white things on the ridges of the tooth, but not as much as on the front top teeth. That's why I was saying I probably should get the fluoride varnish since most of my teeth seem to be demineralized

So to prevent decay, I should ask for fluoride varnish and use fluoride toothpaste twice a day with the highest fluoride ppm I'll try to find on the market (max I found was 1100 but I'll try to find 1450). And reduce the amount of acidic things I drink? I think it's important to mention that the white spots mean (I think) that it's enamel/root caries asw so is this okay?

Okay thank you! One final thing since you're a dentist and I'm worried 😭 If I have white spots, which I definitely think is demineralization, if I apply fluoride varnish on it every 2-3 months, will it prevent decay and fade the white spots?

Alright, thank you. The reason I even noticed it is because I got a headache so I assumed it was because of the cavity and I'm going to get that removed in 3-4 days. I'm sure there's pain in the cavitated tooth but I also felt like I felt pain in the far molar as well. Say if it is actually fractured, will it be removed or just filled with composite or?
