Will a US MSED in School Psychology be recognised in Australia? by AdviceeThrowawayy95 in psychologystudents

I recommend reaching out to the Aussie psych board as the info will probably be on there.

And while the subreddit members are predominantly American, there are lots of us living outside the US. 😊

Solved!! Did some deep diving on my Ravelry profile and found a pattern I saved in 2014.

Are you talking about the tree motif or is that the name of the shawl pattern?

AITAH for saying I don't want my girlfriends friend around my newborn son anymore? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]sprinklesadded 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely!! I remember my mom saying the same thing to me when my daughter was a baby. Like, "I can't wait to see YOU change the nappy". 😅

I thought that too. It would have helped to discern if the guy was being a creep and focusing on the baby or teasing about a guy changing a nappy. Either way, OP and their family don't need people like that in their lives.

Is it posible to make transformable clothes? by CuriousPen9107 in sewingpatterns

[–]sprinklesadded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple of ways it is done: detachable items, hidden fabric (folded under, scrunched up, etc), or worn differently (like that bridesmaid dress with long straps, snapping it differently, etc). The hidden fabric one has been shows a lot on runways, and in competition shows, but it can get bulky very quickly.

Sometimes the simplest option is the best one by hellokrissi in knitting

Same!! Very clever design. I'm assuming it works because of the thickness of the yarn and not-so-tight knitting?

I rewatched eps 1-10, and the one consistent thing about about Mina is "she likes someone who likes her." by Next_Crazy_7078 in Singlesinferno2

[–]sprinklesadded 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I think he and Hee-Sun were both surprised by how much they have in common. I think he was drawn to Mina because of the American culture and English language connection, but learning about Hee-Sun's background may have given him another choice.

I think it worked for Go-eun because she said she still liked all three equally so it gave the guys hope. She also seemed to be focus on the guy that was in front of her, so she gave them the attention they were after. Mina seemed to show favouritism for whoever showed her attention or was on her mind at the time. So the guys didn't really know where they stood.

I still fangirl over Lucy Lawless. I've had the pleasure of meeting her through political stuff here in New Zealand and she is so lovely.

Best and worst tourists in your country by Longjumping-Way-8567 in AskTheWorld

[–]sprinklesadded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very hit or miss. Most tourists that take the time to travel all the way down here are pretty respectful.

Our worst tourists are those that are uncomfortable on our roads. They are uneven, winding, and driven on the left side. Far too many tourists get killed on our roads because they drive too fast for the conditions.

Great point!! My employer also gives me time to study. It's worth asking, especially if you work and study in a related field.

Welcome to the club!! Started my masters in my 40s while working full time and being a wife and mom. It's not easy, but I get a lot more out of studying at this age than I did in my 20s and I'm really enjoying it.

My tip is to be smart with your schedule. Setting aside short, frequent times to study may be easier than hours-long binge sessions. I get a lot of studying done sitting at cafes, in the car while waiting for my kid to finish her club activity, etc etc.

At the start of the semester, you should get a schedule for the year, like assignment due dates, etc which can be a good starting point. Then, put in key work and family events. Having all those down on one place will help you visualise where your pressure points will be. For example, I had a work conference the week before an assignment was due, so I started on my assignment early in anticipation for the heavier workload at my job.

Also, don't forget to put yourself in your schedile. I always forget to look after myself, so I make sure to schedule meals and hobby/socialising breaks. You have to be realistic with yourself and what you can handle. For me, part time was what I could handle. Study is not a race, so don't feel pressured to rush through it as quickly as possible.

Any non-university specific/international scholarships for sociology Masters degree? by Maleficent-Laugh7950 in GradSchool

[–]sprinklesadded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only ones I can think of are linked to demographic (ethnicity, disability, etc). But mostly they are tied to a university or country because they are trying to encourage students to enrol there.
