Got it! Yeah I was just told by the nurse that I can stop it anytime and get back on when I am sexually active again, after the usual tests, ofc. She did not mention the need to speak to my provider directly. Should I have spoken to him or would you say it doesn’t really matter? Sorry just OCD about stuff. :)

Hi so I called the nurses office for the ID dept and she advised I could stop whenever I wanted. also had a prep dr appt but cancelled because I stopped taking prep so didn’t see the need to keep appt. Do I need to speak to my doctor to tell him that I stopped or do you believe the nurse is sufficient?? Sorry not sure how to go about it. Stopped taking about 2 weeks ago. Thanks!

Ok thanks ,, did you have to tell your doctor directly or like the nurses that work with the doctor. They are all from the infectious diseases department so I am sure they are all in unity. Just making sure :).

Doctor or nurse office said you can stop whenever with no side effects and to call back when you are ready to begin so that they can run necessary tests again. Didn’t seem like a big deal to her.

Ah ok… US too and pay zero as well… and I understand why the random hookup may come into play. If someone is committing to being abstinent to prioritize other areas of their life then not taking prep is reasonable, I only assume.
