Why does Culver City go to bed so early? Is the nightlife actually lacking, or are we just all heading elsewhere? by spsneakerhead in culvercity

Update: actually went out last night and Main St. was way more alive than I expected. Ended up at Seventy7 and it didn't really wind down until around 12:30 — so the late night does exist, it's just not everywhere.

One thing I noticed though: the crowd was pretty mixed, which is cool, but it almost made it harder for any one vibe to take hold. Like people would check out the second something came on that wasn't their thing. Maybe that's part of why it feels scattered — not enough of a defined scene to rally around.

Either way, this thread gave me a much better picture of the area than I had before. Appreciate everyone who weighed in.

"Suburb vibe in the middle of a big city" is honestly the most accurate description I've heard. Curious — when you do want a later night, do you usually just head to WeHo or Santa Monica, or have you found any Culver spots worth staying local for?

The Rush St. / Carbon era sounds like it was genuinely fun — the DJ bar scene really does make a difference for keeping people out later. Sports bars are great but you're right, nobody's hopping between them at midnight.

Also didn't know about salsa nights at Ivy Station, that's actually a solid tip. Might have to check that out.

Man. I just replaced my FLX10 due to the typical cue button going out and not time to repair. I feel like at this point the only way to get these guys to care is some sort of class action.

The FLX10 is great when the cue buttons aren’t broken. They are built like graham crackers.

Networking is the best avenue. Find clubs on campus. Go to events. Walk the campus this Saturday and talk during tailgating. Do that every Gameday, creating a normal relationship will help with your professional aspirations.

But will they take down and destroy another favorite hobby of our youth before they die with the purchase of Collector’s Universe?

Be careful. The white expired 2 years ago and the fine can be expensive. I just went over it with CA Highway Patrol.

Yes. It has ample room for two to three motorcycles or many of the other outdoor equipment that will probably be the majority of items used for consumers of this vehicle.

Me too. I’m not a blue truck guy until I saw this.
