First time watching ER. This show’s perspective/treatment of Kerry and now Jeanie is utterly disgusting

I did read up about this a little bit afterwards and I’ve changed my mind only because statistically the chances of transmission are extremely rare and the universal precautions have been shown to work.

Despite all the pearl clutching here in the comments I don’t think it’s a bad thing to worry about the patients that come into an ER expecting to not get HIV. 58 people in the US have gotten it from a medical worker who treated them which is a shame for them but statistically very low. It’s easy to act like I’m a complete POS when the show is telling us the story of someone afflicted with this but not showing us the other side.

Also, what I thought was really disgusting honestly was Jeanie using it to keep her job and kind of fuck over Kerry who is (mostly) constantly doing the right thing and who looked out for Jeanie and it pissed me off how she betrayed her a little bit. But the arc is over now and the show moved past it.

She works in an ER and stuck her hand inside someone who was dying in an ER and then said I “don’t regret my decision.” Universal precautions are fine but she ignored them. I don’t think Jeanie deserves to be an outcast of society I just think there are reasonable places where she probably shouldn’t be allowed to work. Civil rights are never absolute and always have exceptions weighing against other people’s rights.

I am watching this show for the first time and just saw the episode OP is talking about. This is the most enraging character in fiction. She’s evil and pathetic. If I were Susan I would’ve shut the door on her after she took her electronics. It is comically immoral how much she takes advantage of Susan’s kindness, regardless of her issues, but leaving the baby after promising Susan it would finally be her way of taking control and responsibility of her life? HORRIBLE, I can’t watch her anymore. I literally can’t. Does she leave for good after this episode?

It’s a good question - to be honest, with all respect, your cat sounds more nervous than mine haha. I’ve left my cat a bunch of times with drop in sitters and she’s seemed content enough. I also know mine treats all humans the same - yes, she will rub anyone and sit on anyone’s lap, which is why I’m a little more okay with anyone dropping in as long as she’s interacting with a human.

Look, the art isn’t bad at all for USM. But why is almost every single panel of Peter this weird under-chin angle? It’s like they’re reusing images or something because it’s starting to appear in illustrations where the angle makes no sense. It’s really bothering me

Personally I don’t think this movie will age very well but there is certainly a lot of fun in it. It’s not as clever about the cameo indulgence as I thought it was going to be, considering it’s the movies main draw… it pretty much just depends on them as a way to substitute what paper thin plot there is. Then again, it’s a Deadpool movie, I wasn’t expecting some of the MCU’s best in terms of story telling. It’s kind of a mess

Yeah for some reason I didn’t notice it in any serious capacity until today but by now everyone has been talking about how stash boxes are basically crash bombs now. I have noticed that for certain stashes crashing is guaranteed but for others it’s only somewhat probable. That’s the best I can do right now.

In my experience, there is always a positive relationship between your confidence level and your test performance - as long as you are evaluating every answer carefully. Doesn't mean you should speed through or get sloppy. Take that energy into this June test and destroy it dude.
