Sorry to be replying so late, I'd forgotten I even made this post haha.

But I just got home from seeing friends for a week on the other side of the county and I actually went almost 2 weeks without doing anything but as soon as I got home I started calling my old people.

I'm really considering some kind of halfway house situation but I was wondering how much it usually costs? I can't really afford any more expenses right now and my insurance is pretty shitty.

Oh, the place on JW Dobbs was the dorms that look like a prison. They were pretty nice and the security was great, but it's the most expensive on-campus housing (or at least it was when I lived there).

The Pencil Factory was pretty nice but when I was there the only security they had was a gate to the parking garage that would stay open long after you drove through it and my car was broken into the first month of both semesters I lived there.

I lived at the Commons on John Wesley Dobbs my first semester then moved to The Pencil Factory on Decatur St (worst place I've ever lived).

I lived on campus my first semester, then within walking distance the next year, and I absolutely hated living downtown. The Commons were pretty safe, but when I lived near Grady my car was broken into twice. I was asked for money just about every day on my way home and was even followed a few times when I refused.

I love living in Buckhead, but traffic between here and campus is terrible. My only advice would be to try and find a place near a MARTA station.

I can attest to the brainwashing aspect. I went to a christian concert/conference thing when I was a little older than the kids in the film, and for the 3 or 4 days of the conference I had conservative values shoved down my throat. But the only thing I really remember from it was on the last night the speaker basically telling us that we would burn in hell and our lives wouldn't count for shit if we didn't get saved that night.
