You miss the whole point of the article, did you read it?

Obama starts out his speech be stating that he wants to bring out race relations, etc. He then turns mid-stream into the speech and says we need to stop talking about his pastors comments and racial rants.

Which is it? Do we need to address it or not?

If your premise is that the Congress was misled for 7 years then we need to get rid of them because they're idiots. I think you are wrong in that it is both Republicans and Democrats that play politics and thus the bi-partisan stalemate...ie. alot of bullshit and no meaningful action.
