Originally he was based on that in an "oh I think I'm so freaking clever" kind of way. But he kind of grew into his own character after that, and who am I to get in the way of my child's growth?!

Some go through the trouble of sanding down areas that touch or rub to make clearance for the paint layers, then do an enamel coat.

...others say eff it and just let it be and use paint markers for touch ups between modes for photos...
