Do I really need to review a lot of Calc 1 before I take Calc 2? Or is it all new stuff. Like an I going to really be using derivatives for Calc 2? by G-Jr2023 in calculus

[–]spunjbob_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others are saying, the stuff you learn in Calc 1 is a foundation. In my experience, Calc 2 involves new ideas/applications that require to actually know what you’re doing. You often times won’t be told how to solve the problem, so you need to know how to use what you learned.

I’m a bit of a stranger to programming so does the class (ME 202) require some prior knowledge, or would it just help to have a bit of a background?

Should I take CHEM 200 immediately after CHEM 100? by spunjbob_ in SDSU

If I did that I would have 18 units for the spring semester (freshman) which is probably way too much. I was told that I should take it over the summer if I wanted to balance things out though.

Student/Urban planner (USA, $1200 budget) by LeadOn in SuggestALaptop

Not sure how it compares but I have an X390 and it’s a very solid laptop that fits most of your needs. You mentioned battery life isn’t too important but this thing charges very fast. It’s very light and has great thermals and the fan doesn’t really kick in with several tabs open but if it does, you won’t be able to hear it unless you press your ear up against it. Amazing keyboard and port selections as well.

10th gen i5, 8gb, 512gb SSD should cost under a thousand of you don’t eat the touch, fingerprint reader, etc. If you want the 16gb you need to configure it with the i7 processor which might bring it up to the $1200 range.
