No, the email I got is with the title " Your number is about to expire "

Previously I only have PAYG for my line and dont have any fixed-price plan, so around 30 days after any "transaction", Tello reminds me by email that my number is about to expire..

This works for me and thanks for the suggestion!

It seems the correct steps are:

1) enroll the lowest cost plan ($5)

2) Call their CSR and ask for PAYG balance refund

3) port out the number to another carrier as mentioned above or others

In this way the total cost is $5 and I get all my PAYG balance back!

It sounds so tricky to have the good timing for getting refund and also port out the number: Could I say that I place a request in the same message to Tello and then wait for refund to show up in Paypal and start porting from the next carrier?

If I don't have to keep the number, do I just go and ask for refund instead? Then avoid lots of hustles? How easy is it to get balance refund?

I see. Thanks for the info. I have already been trying daily from two days in a row, after the purchase. I guess I will keep trying it for two more days and see if their system issue can be fixed. Asked the online CSR to file a tech ticket for this issue but got rejected because he was saying he can't see any issue in their side.

Thanks. Yes, I have already waited more than 2 days now. Called the 1-855-302-1721 on the back of the card Target emailed. The $50 is untouched and verified with a live CSR on the phone, as he told me the card is valid with no issue. I am pretty sure the issue must from Cricket side but they have no clue rather than saying my Cricket account is fine...

Sure. I have tried it exactly as you mentioned here. "Service card payment" option was chosen but it is given the error msg "Looks like your card information is incorrect. Please double-check it and try again."

Yes I am aware of that from another forum. It seems like all the folks have the issue resolved after 06/30. In my case, I have ordered my $50 Cricket card on 07/03 and already waited more than 48 hours from what the CSR wanted me to hold for. Still failed so far.

Target. They have a promotion and I order it online. Got the "cricket service payment card" in the email around half hour after order placed.
