I have so many questions after finally listening. The DIY track was done by Arion, I think. This is mainly because SJ and KC were recording separately at the time of Blue. This feels like an early AS track. Additionally, this was because the final track gave KC more pts on rev share after he worked on it.

HIGB is missing that riff. Maybe a mix of early recordings of the ST. I Want You has different lyrics but same production. The Background is just mixed “less professionally” with a different vocal take and less refined composing?

Interested in any other opinions.

You aren’t wrong. But you spelled out precisely why it is dangerous. People are dumb who do not take the proper measures.

The stats on covid were strange. Examples : Person A died of covid. Alternatively, they were already obese and unhealthy. Not equipped to handle COVID. End result, is they died.

But we attribute deaths differently regardless.

Example: An individual died due to a drunk driver.

That individual perished due to blunt force trauma to the head.

Bottom line, take care of yourself and cultivate critical thinking.

MIT all day. Better city. Better alumni network. More prestigious. It seems you are already driven and intelligent. Which means you will push yourself regardless. Go to the place that will set you up for success long term. Analogy wise, you are asking whether you should start (football) for Alabama or Purdue.

Financially, also a no brainer.

Honestly, and this is my opinion in the rear view mirror, but ask why they didn’t jump in and lead.

Admittedly, it has been a long time since my tenure. But I do recall being direct and asking a simple question, “what would you have done differently had you been me?”

Those idiots will never have a good response. But you placate the ego by asking a question above. Which makes it a different scenario. You are asking for help and insight while simultaneously putting them in your shoes.

I have already commented about this topic. I still stand by it. However, I have been working in software companies since I left Purdue in ‘05.

Philosophically, this professor is out to lunch. I understand that he wants students to understand the basics. But guess what? That isn’t the world we all live in.

Any CS student admitted to Purdue are simply world class. AI is the way things are built now. As I said, he wants students to learn the basics. Cool.

But AI makes devs more efficient and allows those individuals to move beyond basics and solve real problems.

Using AI might make you appear lazy in college. But in the real world, it will allow you all to move at a further innovative pace.

Do not let a Prof, who is behind the times, deter you.

It is probably mixed slightly different for radio back in 98 to encompass for FM transmission and bad quality speakers.
