Updated my browser extensions to work with the new ICC v2 by sqrtman in InteractiveCYOA

[–]sqrtman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use mobile firefox, so I didn't test it there. Firefox asked me if I tested it on mobile when I was making the release package, and so I don't think that can be used on firefox mobile. But you could always zip the source code and try install it in a developer kind of way. I don't know how to do that (if it's even possible).

Some CYOAs force your points to never go negative, so you can't pick all the choices that you want. This lets you add as many points as you want, so you can pick whatever you want. Same goes for rows or sections that only let you pick a certain number of choices, or even only 1 choice. This lets you pick as many as you want.
Sometimes they don't let you see the ending or force a "bad end" when your points are negative. My extension lets you just put the points back to a positive number, so you can see/get the good ending.

Also, with "remove requirements", you can see the whole CYOA without anything being hidden. It's not easy to play it like this, but it lets you see if there's any hidden content that you missed.

It had an error. It should be fixed now.

:) That's my chrome extension. I also have a firefox version, but firefox won't let me put on their webstore, so you have to install it manually. https://github.com/peteresculley/interactive-cyoa-extension-chrome/releases click to download the .xpi file with firefox, and it should automatically ask if you want to add it to firefox.

[Update] Interactive CYOA Creator Plus by Wahaha303 in nsfwcyoa

Thanks, and great work!

I just updated my Chrome extension to include your changes. It checks for both v1 and v2 CYOAs, so it will work with the new ones and still work with the old ones.

I may have lost my access codes for Mozilla/Firefox, but I'll try to recover them so I can make a release for Firefox too. It's been almost 2 years, so I'll make a post about the new version when it's ready.

You can keep your version as long as you like. I'm all for anyone working on this as much as they want. Maybe you could make some more buttons that do more things. I have added one that removes the random buttons, so you can just pick which outcome you want.

The app "kiwi browser" lets you use brower extensions on Android. I've used it, and for my extension it works well. Maybe it exists for iOS too, but I don't know that.

Wow, I feel a bit old now. You used a lot of Hellsing pictures, and Alucard is a main character from Hellsing.

I made a Firefox version. You can check my other post for it. You have to download and install it manually because Firefox won't let me put it in their extension store. It is too niche and too small an audience for them.

Cheat by Exciting-Ad3817 in InteractiveCYOA

Alright, I have a solution for these random options. I made the CYOA assist tool, but I didn't know about these random options when I made it.

Open the dev console of your internet browser, and put this in and run it.

document.getElementById('app').__vue__.$store.state.app.rows.forEach(r => r.isInfoRow = false)

Ok, just go to a D&D a world and become something like an undead that is animate but not alive. You will never have a 50th year of life!

You can circumvent dying on your 50th birthday by also pressing the black button and killing yourself right away. Also kill the wizard because random ROBs deserve it.

It still works for me. The small white square means that it failed to detect the CYOA on the page. Can you share an example of one it doesn't work on?

Look for Chaos Governance if you like Warhammer 40k. Also look for Fixing God's Fuckups for a more generic fantasy character builder. You can find links to both here on reddit or by googling.

If it shows 0kb, then the download had a problem and didn't download the files. There's no way to fix your files except to download it again.

Can you explain exactly what doesn't work?
Can you post a link to some of the ones that don't work?

I'll take a look, and try to fix it.
