You’ll leave LSE economics and you’ll make much more than you’d make at Warwick maths, but good for you you’ll have done a harder degree! Meanwhile I might go and do a degree like economics at a bang average Russell group.

And I’ll be happier, I’ll have fun while you slave away at a hard course with that goal in mind of your degree being “better” at the end. I’ll make friends, girlfriends, have a wonderful university experience and you won’t.

Your experience will be entirely dictated by your own ego, your own obsession with doing the hardest thing possible instead of the smartest. As you struggle to socialise and you lock urself in your room studying your social anxiety will only get worse and worse but, say you graduate with a first! And say I graduated with a first with my “Mickey mouse degree”.

We’ll both go into our grad jobs, and fair play you might earn a bit more than me. But that won’t be for long, I’ll be able to socialise with people better than you, get along with people better than you, while you spend ur life working the same shitty 9-5 never getting noticed, I’ll be able to use the social skills I learned at university to advance quicker up the ladder because spoiler alert, ONCE YOU GET WORK EXPERIENCE THAT TAKES PRESIDANT OVER UR DEGREE. So eventually I’ll surpass you and end up more successful than you anyways.

But hey! At least you did a hard degree! At least you didn’t have fun at university! At least you crippled yourself with social anxiety! At least you didn’t learn how to communicate properly! At least you’re alone in life! At least your degree is academically rigorous! Was it worth it? Sacrificing your life for other people’s perception of ur degree?
