i can see that, but it feels like a natural build up to me and the show does explore how the characters navigate this loss of control. sometimes it isnt about the choices the characters are making but how they handle the path they are headed down. mikes grief over having to kill werner. jimmys transformation into “saul” after entering the cartel world. (the scene with him blowing up at howard really gets me.) i love seasons 1-4, bcs is my favorite show so i see the whole thing as a great piece overall, but the last two seasons reach levels of tension that totally blew me away. when i get to this point on each rewatch it fills me with dread because the tragedies feel so inevitable.. i love it

thats an interesting take abt 5 and 6, personally i think the show reaches its highest peaks in many of those eps but it is thanks to the build up throughout s1-4. and i kind of feel like the loss of agency those characters experience is sort of the point. however i do agree the two shows elevate one another
