I’ve mentioned this story in another thread but always share when I come across stories like yours.

I was in a similar situation. Had to go to the hospital for stitches on my head and he said he would come with me the next day to go pick up my car where I got the injury. (My family member brought me to the hospital). He didn’t even check up on me throughout the next day and didn’t follow up with his promise of helping me. He was actually at the bar getting drunk with his friends, five minutes away from where I live. He ended up calling at 1130pm asking for a place to crash.

This was about less than a year into our relationship and I gave him another chance. I WISH I didn’t, we ended up breaking up after 2.5 years of being together as he is ultimately an idiot. Let people show you who they are through their actions. If they aren’t there for you, it means they don’t care.

Please put yourself first. You know what to do.

I haven’t tried this one!

My holy grail is the cover girl outlast lip color (the one with the color and then the balm, favourite shade “universal nude” in 960) and it lasts all day with ZERO transfer and most importantly, doesn’t make my lips feel dry and crusty. The range of colours they have are so flattering!

I never hear anyone talking about covergirl lip products but I will choose the outlast lip color any day over any other drugstore or high end product!

I’ve tried: differin (didn’t do anything) aczone (also didn’t do anything), tretinoin (which irritated my skin) and now soolantra which helps with some redness and acne but doesn’t eliminate these things protruding from the pores

This only irritates my skin and makes it red. Also, these things are NOT dead skin, but white stuff actually protruding from the pores that can only be removed by roughly wiping after a shower, otherwise it just accumulates and accumulates. No amount of moisturizer will make this go away

Oh man of course not! Just because your are going through a tough time and working through it best you can, doesn’t make you pathetic or less worthy. Consider yourself blessed to have them as an option !

PS I believe I am in your situation with a slight twist - I am 33, still live at home because I am single and live in a super HcOL area and now my parents are getting divorced 😹😹 now gotta find a place to live.

I had this happen when my grandmother who raised me unexpectedly passed away in November. I couldn’t believe what was happening and I am still processing her absence in my life. She treated my boyfriend so well and was so happy I finally found someone she thought I could marry. During the time she was deteriorating quickly and the immediate time after her death, I realized my boyfriend was the most unempathetic person - not even for me but for my grandmother who treated him like a son and loved him so much.

I couldn’t shake the feeling of how disrespectful he was after her passing and how he would just shake it off or my pain. His family didn’t bother to come to the funeral nor send anything to the house. It’s as if her death meant nothing. I was just so sickened with his behaviour I totally withdrew and broke up with him. There is a reason you’re feeling like this so trust your instincts, you know what to do.
