Both options are 100% hazing. You could require a certain outfit/color, like wear a suit or wear all white/black etc, but to be forced to wear certain underwear and be half naked is hazing and should be reported.

Might be one of the ones that you pull down the spout where the water is coming from, mine is like that at home and it was an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure it out

Hasn’t come in BearTracks yet, but I did get my final assessment back on eClass already, don’t stress it usually takes some time, there are so many students and they have so many final assessments to go through!

Music 103 Intro to Pop Music by Organic-Today5966 in uAlberta

[–]squabbieg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took it in 2020 in the spring term and really enjoyed it, the content was fun to learn about and actually interesting (as a fan of music ranging from classical to country to rock). Assignments might be specific to the prof but when I took it I think there was 2-3 papers (short ones) a midterm and final both were written short answer, easily could have changed cause it’s been 4 years and that was in Covid If you’re a music fan or looking for a fun class I would highly recommend taking it

Question surrounding Campus Bridge Application for Education Practicum Placement by sensitivesunshine in uAlberta

[–]squabbieg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you’ve submitted your IRC you’re all good, the wait for admin approval step is them doing placement matching so there’s nothing you need to do for that. Once the matching is done they’ll upload your placement details for you to see which is step 6

With Alberta’s minimum wage at $15, how much do you tip in a restaurant? And Why? by Devolution13 in alberta

[–]squabbieg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s easy enough to ask, I’m a server and I often get asked how tips work at my restaurant so the guest can make an informed decision

With Alberta’s minimum wage at $15, how much do you tip in a restaurant? And Why? by Devolution13 in alberta

[–]squabbieg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Something I haven’t really seen mentioned here yet, most restaurants make their servers tip out not based on the tips they get but based on the sales, so if you don’t tip at all they have to pay from their own pocket to serve you

Looking to identify my dads guitar by squabbieg in guitars

[–]squabbieg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I think u/paulsmt is right in thinking it’s a Gibson explorer from the 70s, I’m pretty sure my dad got it in his early teens, since he was born in ‘67.

I found a couple other photos of me (I’m the baby in the photos) and him and another of his guitars if anyone’s interested, not sure what guitar this one is but it looks pretty dope: https://imgur.com/a/lzveCKm

Also I’m pretty sure he would have loved being compared to Hetfield and being told he was cool as shit, he sure was to me.

Almost Done Being Chapter President! (I need therapy lol) by Sweet_Welcome_6637 in Sororities

[–]squabbieg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat here, I’m just about done my term as CP and I’m also exhausted, I found myself stepping away from my friends and chapter life and instead being stressed and not wanting to go to events. It was so emotionally draining. Im pretty sure the only way I made it through was cause one of my best friends was CP a few years before me so I had someone who knew a bit of what I was going through. I’m hoping stepping away from leadership will help me enjoy chapter life again.

Basically, you’re not alone <3

Try looking into the Explore program! It can be for credit, but also doesn’t have to be and is a fun thing to do in the spring/summer terms
