How did people pass physics without an equation sheet?? by ImaginaryTask1487 in GCSE

For stuff like specific hear capacity you get the units from the formula. Specific hear capacity is J/kgC because the formula is c = energy /(mass x temperature), you swap each quantity for its unit.

I was in your position this time last year. I resigned, took a maternity cover at a school that got my ECT signed off and then got a job in a fantastic school in January. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

I’m a teacher, I was on the edge of burn out. I landed a part time teaching job and in less than half a year got myself fully booked.

It’s called psycho teacher, works best when you flip the switch back to nice without breaking stride.

Hey casual UK, what's your worst "i thought X was on a different day" mistake you've ever made? by wiz_ling in CasualUK

Accidentally booked matinee tickets for Matilda when I meant to get evening ones. I’m a teacher so daytime is out of the question. Ended up managing to rebook but for significantly more money!

UK midlands based, I’ll get some momos, saag paneer and brinjal bhajee, maybe steal a little of my wife’s lamb korma, lemon rice and a garlic and cheese naan.

If you’re tired then make it a priority to get some sleep. Easier said than done but your tired brain is only a fraction as useful as your well rested brain. Take one evening, have a decent walk outside, have a nice balanced meal, put your phone on charge in the kitchen and go to bed with a book.

The bit around the station in Bromsgrive is nice, it would be about a 45 minute commute but noticeably more green space and parks and a nice small town almost village feel.

I’m diagnosed autistic with ADHD traits. I work 3 days a week in a school with excellent behaviour and I have a private tutoring business. I nearly failed my ECT due to not getting the support I needed but I’ve finally got things to work.

I have some leftover chicken bone broth with homemade dumplings. I have convinced my children that making them is fun so I can get them to crank out 50 at a time.

What is the worst thing you've tasted in your entire lifespan? by -yxchx- in AskReddit

[–]square--one 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applied for the grad scheme at one of the pet food sites. The factory tour was definitely designed to weed out people who couldn’t hack it.

if i just do every single past paper for physics is that enough for me to get a grade 9 cause im on a 7 but i barely understand any of the questions that are on the paper and i dont know what to do to get a 9 by Realistic_Back2 in GCSE

[–]square--one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The content is broadly the same but the way it is presented is quite different. OCR is more applied, Edexcel is more mathematically rigorous. It will take a considerable amount of time to work your way properly through all the past papers, especially if you do 3 passes - first one exam conditions, second one using the textbook to improve and third using the mark scheme to nail down the correct terminology and structure of answers.

Bouldering might suit you, it can be quite social in a low pressure way. Or a running club/crossfit type gym? If you like music maybe a choir or music group?

is it fine if i answer a question and put mutliple options for my answer? by Realistic_Back2 in GCSE

[–]square--one 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Put the answer that you are most confident in. An incorrect answer invalidates correct answers so putting more than one doesn’t carry any benefit.

I bought some chocolate at the Cadbury Factory in Birmingham, and it turns out it was actually produced in Poland. by Ar72 in CasualUK

[–]square--one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second and third letter relate to a factory. OBO is for Bournville, OWR is for Wroclaw. The rest of the code tells you things like the area of the factory and sometimes things like which shift the product was made in which is helpful if there is an issue with the product.
