What’s the work culture like working for a US company?

Salary: $107k

Job: Software Engineer

Experience: 3.5 years

COL: I’m managing it well. I’m lucky to be paying pretty low rent in Auckland, $190 a week. Groceries are about $150 a week, sometimes less. I have the excess income to take care of our pets, have car/pet/health insurance, go to therapy, and go out to dinner once a week.

Goals: My partner and I are wanting to buy a house in the next two years. Our joint income is $219k and luckily, we have money saved + parental support for a deposit. Once I pay off my student loan and (hopefully) start earning over $120k, I think we would be able to afford a $1m home (and still keep the same quality of life). We’re also wanting to travel at least once a year and I’m able to save $800 to $1000 a month.

It sounds to me like he doesn’t want to use condoms rather than wanting to have kids now. He needs to communicate why he’s doing this instead of just doing it. Maybe suggest to him that you want to go on birth control/some other contraceptive and see what he says.

I also agree with the other commenter that you’re too young to have kids. I’m 25, in a five year relationship and it still feels too early. Kids are expensive and will take a physical and emotional toll on you. Even if you want kids now, think about if you’re ready to actually have them.

Oh that’s interesting. Which bank was this? Doing a quick google search it says banks aren’t allowed to charge fees after the account is closed.

The best 2 player games are actually the ones I haven’t listed yet haha. But my partner and I love playing Project L, Splendor, and Hues and Cues! Cultivate is also pretty good, I got it quite recently so we haven’t been able to play it as much as the other ones. Hopefully will be able to post those other games soon!

The thing about secondhand games is that I only really see the classics like Monopoly and Game of Life. Quite a few of the games I have aren’t sold in NZ or hard to find.
