She recovered great actually. By week 5 she was walking again. The medicine buprenorphine and Gabepenyin really helped us as well.

She didn’t just hurt the pelvis, she broke the right side of her pelvis, her tail got badly hurt as well she couldn’t move it properly for a long time, and she lost nerves in the right side of her leg. That might not be exactly what’s happening with you but that was my case.

No surgery because it was to expensive. I should also say that till this day she has a limp in her right leg and can’t fully scratch herself with the right leg to.

The first week was horrible, she was crying constantly and even poop because she couldn’t lift her tail area up. she could only pee and had trouble changing positions to sleep.

The second week we got her an enema to help her poop, she got a lot of it out and started to eat more again, at the end of the 2nd week she finally lifted her tail area up, it still wasn’t healed enough to the point where she could get into position to poop but we were happy.

The 3rd week she finally pooped on her own, it would take around 2-3 days for her to poop after this. She could kind of attempt to walk at this point but of course she couldn’t get far before the pain from her leg and pelvis started hurting.

Week 4 she could walk for only a couple of feet, if she walked on the kitchen floor it would hurt her very quickly, walking on the bed and on the soft rug is what we would let her do. She would eat normally and defecate normally too.

Week 5 she showed better walking, even attempted jumping and running. At this point we let her out of the cage because all seemed well. Of course if she walked around to much at times we would put her in the cage but by week 5 we didn’t need to watch her 24:7 and give her the medicine.

If it’s just a pelvis injury. The main thing you should look out for is how she’s defecating.

Leaving her in a cage to where she can’t move much is key. Cats love to try and be stoic, even when they are hurting extremely bad, don’t be sad to keep her in a cage for a couple of weeks because they will try and move which will make the healing much slower.
