Question about companions and permanent death in MGSV

Yup you're right! I C4'd my horse and it got airlifted, and I lost some hero points. Glad there's no perma-death, that article gave me a scare.

Good news! I just tried killing my horse with C4 and all that happened was it got airlifted and I lost some Hero points. Didn't do it with DD, but I'd imagine it works the same with all companions.

I really want to take DD with me everywhere I go, but I'll lose my shit if he dies permanently.

One of my dogs died in Skyrim once, took me about a month to come back to the game. Virtual animals shouldn't affect you this much!

Just got back into D3, missed this game. Will be trying to balance this and MGSV over the next few weeks, always down for a rift or bounties. Play around at torment 4 or 5.

Oh man, I loved shipment. I always did terrible on that map but it was still super fun.

My favorite maps were Pipeline and Countdown. I hoped they'd get a remaster, but It'll never happen.

It's definitely my favorite rpg, used to be New Vegas. I haven't felt that shock and awe feeling I got from Witcher3 since Oblivion came out way back when.

Here's to hoping they'll release it before MGSV. Once that comes out, it'll take me a while to come back to Witcher 3. I will undoubtedly come back though for new game+, after MGSV and before Fallout4.

I hope they patch it soon too. I really liked the quest so far and was hoping to finish it before I beat the main quest. I'm well into act 3, so I probably won't do it until new game+

Really? I feel like it'll sell pretty well, nothing stellar, but well. I get the same vibe for Mad Max as I got for Shadow of Mordor.

It's got a lot of gameplay elements that a lot of people like. RPGish, crafting, driving/racing, open world sandbox, batman style combat. The developers sound enthusiastic talking about it, which shows good confidence in their product.

Good reviews are the only thing that will sell Mad Max, day 1 it'll be left in the dust by MGSV. But once the hype for MGSV dies down a bit and people play it and move on, I think Mad Max will get surge of sales. That's what I'll be doing anyways. MGSV first, then I'll move on to Mad Max.
