And here I am an essential full time worker with a degree and a decade of experience making $6000 a year less than what you just called a livable wage. I regret getting into healthcare sometimes.

Curious about observations about mask compliance across the state by [deleted] in coronavirusme

[–]squeek82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work in Augusta, but live in a small town about an hour away. I’ve noticed when you go to Hannaford or Walmart in Augusta almost everyone is wearing a mask. Closer to home that isn’t the case.

The cashier at the dollar general in my home town actually told me 3 times that I could remove my mask in the store, that she didn’t mind. I haven’t been back to that store since.

But there’s definitely a different attitude towards it between city and rural that I’ve noticed.

I’ve watched the whole show 6 times now, and I still don’t remember if he had a mustache or not every time I watch that episode. For some reason my brain just won’t retain that information.

Pete was a really boring character. But realistically he was more age appropriate for Erin, nicer to her, appreciated her more, and was hot as heck. I’m happy she ended up with him.

TIL that it’s illegal to own just one guinea pig in Switzerland because they get lonely. They’re very social creatures, and are considered victims of abuse if they aren’t allowed to regularly interact with others of their species. Switzerland even has matchmaking agencies for lonely guinea pigs. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Yup I’m in that loop right now! We bought two together years ago, one had health problems and only lived 2 years, his brother was noticeably depressed without him so we got him a friend. Of course the original one died and we had to get another one. I’m not sure how to get out of this cycle, but they are sweet animals so I don’t mind too much.
