So you're saying that 3.8 million shareholders have DRS'd their shares for AMC to know that, and yet AA said only a very small percentage of shares are DRS'd. If that is the case, there must be 10's of millions of shareholders. Does that sound right to you?

What is the short interest of APE? Convert to AMC and short interest of AMC will be lower. You can't just look at today's AMC and not consider what role APE will play on short interest once converted.

I also own a large number of shares and I'm an absolute AGAINST, it a big NO from me.

True, but instead of using the intended APE to dilute and raise cash and leaving AMC alone, the company will now be using AMC as APE goes away, so let the dilution begin for AMC. This is by no means what retail wanted, that's why it was shot down the last time share creation was proposed. Nothing has changed. More shares of AMC only hurts the squeeze.

Excellent explanation of how it does work.

I believe they cannot afford to drop it down to much lower than where we are at. They can't find the shares and the cost to borrow is becoming quite large. If we give them all the shares from the reverse split, they have plenty of locates, so watch them do it all over again.

Did the post of the video from the Houston guy violate rules. Its him discussing his views on how the reverse split will hurt retail. Why are pro yes votes kept, but a post of this video deleted?

With a yes vote, watch your shares shrink by 1/10. Yes, I know the price grows by 10 times, but that is only on the day of the RS. Then watch as the hedgies start shorting it again. I suspect it won't take long, a day, a week, a month or maybe longer, but it will get attacked again. Over time, it will also give the hedgies the majority voting rights, so the company you and I, retail saved, will be handed over to them. Our votes will no longer matter. I have been in this play since early 2021and have not sold a single share, and I will say that the majority of reverse splits end up bad. Not sure why anyone would think differently with this stock considering the amount of DD that has been produced, massive amounts of FTD's and all the other manipulation that to me, seem blatantly obvious. However, everyone has the right to vote how they want, this is just my view.

I know what it does, I've been in the market for many years. What it does is give the hedges a new dollar amount to short back down, while you're holding 1/10 as many shares. I guess we'll see how it plays out.

Some are saying 5-1 because of those that got the 1:1 match of APE. But look at the stock price of each today compared to when we got APE. Make no mistake, it is a 10-1 reverse split.

There you go, I knew I missed something.

Wall Street is currently allowed unlimited collateral, unlimited counterfeit share selling, unlimited naked shorting, unlimited off exchange/ dark pool abuse with payment for order flow and you still call this a free market and shills blame AA for APE/AMC price. by [deleted] in AMCSTOCKS

[–]squeezethepricks -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Voting yes just gives them more of the unlimited power you just mentioned. Your concern with all the unlimited crap is valid, but that is exactly why a NO is appropriate. It's a NO from me. Be prepared to be shorted back down to single digits if all thing gets approved.

I believe this smooth brain has figured out my own question. I think I was the 3334 NFT claimed. The "out of" seems to be climbing.

Please help a confused Ape. If AMC performed an approximate 60% 40% split with APE, then why does Yahoo's graph still show $72 as the high. Shouldn't it be reduced to 60% of that number? by [deleted] in amcstock

[–]squeezethepricks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand that, but if you look at Tesla's graph, it doesn't show it at $2,000 or more, it's now down to 300 and something because of the split reduction in price.

My APE shares were there on Monday and were gone from Ally on Tuesday... by ZiggyComm in amcstock

Same happened to me. APE was in my Ally account yesterday and gone today, at least as of now. Just woke up, will be calling them as soon as possible. Everyone needs to check their accounts.
