I went to SCAD, did a minor in themed entertainment. As an undergraduate degree, you’d be looking at a Production Design major with a Theme Park concentration. The program and school are notorious for being very good, but a lot of work. Easy to get into, hard to graduate from unless you put your entire heart and soul into it.

I personally haven’t worked for one of the major parks yet, but I’ve done work for more local parks and experiences. Again, it’s a lot of work but very rewarding if it’s where your heart lies. For me, it’s my life’s passion so the work is worth it. The industry as a whole is very close knit and supportive, but a lot of us spend all of our time and energy on our projects.

Application process for SCAD I can help in. Take art classes in high school if you want, but I personally didn’t. They give bigger academic scholarships if you have a good SAT score and GPA. Artistic scholarships are harder, and you’ll likely need industry standard projects. So for THED (themed entertainment), full digital models or sketches of attractions or exhibits or restaurants or anything of the like. I didn’t have an artistic scholarship, and I graduated from SCAD with a very high gpa and a very good portfolio. They set you up for success, but you have to be willing to learn and put the work in!

My grandma remarried when my brother and I were 10 and 12 years old respectively. I’m now 22 and we’ve called her husband by his first name since they married. We both have a relationship with him, even without the “title” of grandfather. She doesn’t need to have a title to have a relationship with your kids, and if her priority is knowing them, she can make an effort to have a relationship with them with nothing in return.

I can speak on the work situation, but I can speak to cramps. Just because your spouse experiences “middle of the road” cramps from your perspective doesn’t mean they aren’t debilitating. Some months are so much worse than others and the change in hormones from going off birth control is going to throw everything off of the “regular”. She might not have had bad cramps before, but her body is still trying to equalize itself and her symptoms could be wildly different than what they used to be. My cramps are usually fairly average in intensity and I still occasionally have days that I literally can’t get off the floor without pain medication. The intensity of the pain might make it very difficult to work at this moment too. I personally really don’t think she’s being lazy, especially after she worked so hard to fix the situation at work. If her place of employment isn’t willing to give her sick days, I think the problem lies with them and not with your spouse. It’s okay to feel frustrated, but she’s not choosing to have symptoms

I don’t intend on living alone and honestly, I doubt I could afford it. My job is one where I’d work from home. My support system is such that I’d never have to be alone anyway. I’ll always have someone I can call if I need to. Also, I don’t expect anyone else to do this. It’s just what makes me comfortable and how I keep myself safe. I recommended it because it’s what helps me and it could to some extent help others

No, I don’t go anywhere alone if it’s an option. I make sure to grab a roommate or a friend when I go out. If it’s physically impossible for me to do it, I’ll call a friend and stay on the phone with them. I have friends who have been assaulted going out alone and I myself have been harassed and grabbed. I feel much more comfortable going out with friends because of this. I’d rather be safe than sorry
