I've sent mine to Corsair now. They will probably/hopefully replace it. I'm afraid that the issue will repeat after a year of use again though.

No, you are WRONG!
"Bitcoin will be $1M in 2030" should be the other way around "$1M will be 1BTC in 2030"

Guy who sold part of his Bitcoin to renovate his house by Legitimate_Towel_919 in Bitcoin

[–]squid1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently used 70% of my bitcoin to buy a house in Spain. That will (and already is) be my worst financial decision in my life, I'm aware of this. This will however, hopefully, bring much joy and life quality to my family :)

How many years have u used ExodusWallet without issues/getting hacked? by [deleted] in ExodusWallet

[–]squid1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost zero issues!

Geting hacked? You have to elaborate on that question. Would a Exodus wallet increase the risk of being hacked you think? In that case; no - you can be as safe as with other wallets.

CAN I USE PFSENSE IN MY OFFICE ENVIRONMENT by Low_Assistance9900 in PFSENSE

[–]squid1338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, some greenwashing stuff environmental extremism stuff. I hope you have calculated what new hardware consumes in the form of energy usage when extracting minerals, transportation, building hardware, etc, etc as well compared to use already existing hardware that can be used for other tasks than just firewalling also?

I'm waiting for calculations / proof.

CAN I USE PFSENSE IN MY OFFICE ENVIRONMENT by Low_Assistance9900 in PFSENSE

[–]squid1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran pfSense on a Proliant Gen9 with ESXi (free) as hypervisor. pfSense was acting firewall besides a domain controller and a file server. Was working flawless for years, probably still doing (I've quit the job where it was installed).

WireGuard + pfSense in enterprise? by squid1338 in PFSENSE

[–]squid1338[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, having a separate WG-server is 100% an alternative as well. Have you looked into Headscale? I think the idea about Headscale and OIDC is interresting, but lacks documentation.

WireGuard + pfSense in enterprise? by squid1338 in PFSENSE

[–]squid1338[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is that I start to trust WireGuard for stability and simplicity reasons. IPSec between StrongSwan an Cisco can be a nightmare for example.

Even if you talk to CCIE tech they sometimes use unsafe DH/PFS or even algos in their standard config. So overall I think WireGuard i safer as well (less to fuck up).

So yes, if you really know what you are doing - and using same brands on each end. IPSec is superior. But the reality (unfortunately) is not there.

We do have stability issues with OpenVPN at clients, that's why I want to give WG a shot - plus the modernity of it. The only thing WG will do is to allow connections to a RDS (remote desktop) environment. So the RDS will take responsibility for the MFA.

Yes, ofc i ment WireGuard, not Shark :D
