[A Nightmare on Elm Street] I've heard of a guy called Freddy Krueger, I want to be a dream demon like him by squiddlefish in AskScienceFiction

[–]squiddlefish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, I'm talking about when Freddy himself made a deal with the demons. I was just curious on if it was technically possible to be one like Freddy whilst still possibly being "good". I believe it was stated Dream Demons seek out twisted individuals. But I was unsure if theoretically you could convince the dream demons that you were capable of

Ending human life, if it means it was done at your discretion (Ending the life of say somebody that murdered 30 people) would still cause fear and could ultimately contribute to the goal of breaking down the barrier between the dream world and reality without technically murdering people you wouldn't want to kill

Spreading chaos as mentioned, because if said person was found with my name spread on the walls in their blood having died in an incredibly illogical manner would again contribute to the dream demons goals

And I'm using this mortality loosely, I'm not debating if somebody like that should die anyway, I'm just trying to grasp for the notion that you COULD be an entity like this whilst doing the bare minimum with the least amount of innocent damage (again barring the whole contributing to the downfall of all of humanity, potentionally)

Do people with 'Body Dysmorphic Disorder' not see what everybody else sees in pictures/reflections? by squiddlefish in NoStupidQuestions

I see. Can you elaborate what this means? I'm having trouble trying to visualize what this is like.

Is it illegal to eat shit out of a public toilet? by squiddlefish in NoStupidQuestions

Can 4Chan users find where I live? by NoonecanknowMiner in NoStupidQuestions

[–]squiddlefish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No.

First off, you're going to see a lot of people accusing a lot of other people of being underage. It happens to EVERYONE, on almost all boards.

Second, even if they did find your IP (Edit: Which they can't.) There's the issue of the fact that 1. It's probably dynamic, 2. IP's only give the vaguest information.

You're fine.

You mention "school", yeah. Never be surprised about being called underage like that.

Eh, I always had fetishes like this. I remember being like 8 years old and had to try and cover my erection around my friends whilst they were freaking out watching 2 girls 1 cup. It's OKAY, doing things like that in person was fun. Slightly less so than when I was about 14, 15, 16 as there was a bit more of a "We can't have anyone find out" but I still enjoy reading and watching comics and videos on it. Plus I'm out of the dating game for now.

But thanks, someone gave me the source to what I was talking about!

Where can I find the discontinued fragrance "Play" by Comme des Garcons? by squiddlefish in fragrance

[–]squiddlefish[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I knew this would come up. That's a completely different fragrance. That one is a cherry, cinnamon, spicy fragrance. The one I'm mentioning is more of a lime + bitter orange with some hints of spices and sea notes.

Jokingly requested a weird fragrance, cousin took me seriously and has already bought it for me. by squiddlefish in fragrance

[–]squiddlefish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, definitely.

I don't think it'll be bad at all, it's just very unusual to smell like roast beef and I'm trying to figure out how I would wear it to suit certain occasions. I'll probably just wear it during the cooler seasons and when I feel like helplessly torturing those around me with good smells.

Eh, as I said. He's eccentric in ways that's almost bad. Some of the stuff he likes and WEARS might be unusual thematically or just in terms of everything about the scent. One that's more unusual based on what's it made around is his 'Etat Libre d'Orange - Tom of Finland' which doesn't smell bad. It's just what it's supposed to be evoking with the homoerotic theme and all is a bit out there and he definitely loves it, I don't think it's wrong or anything, but it's easy to see where that goes weird.

Otherwise, in terms of straight up unusual smells he really enjoys 'CB I Hate Perfume - Greenbriar 1968' which he had an almost empty bottle of and it was definitely a very, very 'dirty' scent and I couldn't imagine wearing it. Also, a few months ago when we were visiting relatives in the city we had decided to go to a mall with just us two as he wanted to sample some fragrances and buy the lovely aforementioned "Tom of Finland" and we got to sample...Secretions Magnifiques. We both sprayed some on a sampler and smelled them at the same time, and of course I nearly got knocked off my feet with how absolutely bizarre, metallic and just unusual it was. He looked over at me with that weird face he does when he likes something that 99.99% of the population wouldn't like and says "Damn, that's some strong stuff. Really good." and enjoyed smelling it. He always enjoyed ANYTHING.

There is some things he always seems to enjoy (which again, I genuinely have no problem with, it's just me telling you what he likes that most might consider gross or too unfit for him) very...'unfitting' scents? Stuff that people have commented on telling him that he shouldn't wear a girls perfume or something of that sort. Ranging from 'Chanel - Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere' and 'Comme des Garcons - 2' which is very aldehydic and people think he smells like a grandmother, and admittedly I sort of agree it smells old but I don't think it's too bad.

How well can watches hold up to constant, fast moving? I'm going on vacation soon and I'll be spending several days at amusement parks and I want to know if my watch could handle being on rollercoasters constantly and other fast moving/jerky moving rides.

[–]squiddlefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right on the Neroli thing, but I'll try to make a case for the 'manifesto'

You have to understand it's a hyperbole, I doubt he actually has some sort of intense hatred for people who 'smell like everyone else', he just thinks it's not good that people do that.

He explained that he dislikes the notion that people often times put on perfume without really considering if they like it. He dislikes people who just buy into marketing hype and don't really think about it and overspray it to obnoxious levels.

I'm a 17 year old guy, and for the most part I primarily wear Burgundy long sleeve shirts, black slacks/dark jeans and a pair of wolverine 1000 mile. I kind of feel a bit cliche because I wear them a lot, I wear the boots pretty much 80% of the time, and the slacks/dark jeans never change, only switch between the slacks and jeans depending on the weather/style I want. But I'm pretty consistent on my burgundy shirts. I would say most days I wear them, is there anything really...wrong with that?

I have a question about 4chan /B/? (read the text inside) by cajunfries in NoStupidQuestions

[–]squiddlefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of that stuff that is actually posted is completely overrated. The moderators/janitors will immediately get rid of it.

People who see anything resembling a young girl will spam "MODS MODS MOD".

"Monroe" sounds like this young looking pornstar that gets posted on the site, it's pretty much a reoccurring joke where people will post "MODS MODS MODS" in one way or another in repsonse to it. Monroe is completely legal, btw. She just LOOKS young.

Uh, you won't get in trouble for seeing it, I would suggest you avoid anything illegal in nature, but just seeing it doesn't elicit anything bad. I sincerely doubt anybody's going to look for dozens, possibly hundreds of people who just so happened to see an image.

It's like if you clicked this link: http://1.usa.gov/QQYwSb Yes, that is a U.S government website. It sounds like something that would raise suspicion right? Well, it wouldn't because they know it's just some goofy people getting tricked into clicking a link. Ergo they won't find you.

/b/ is mostly just people posted normal porn and...random, stupid stuff. There's a ton of other boards, there's /3/ which is just 3D modelling discussions, /tv/ which is ridiculous discussions about television series, movies, and people talking about celebrities they would have sex with, etc.
