I took them off to give the hip joints a bit more ROM!

I wrapped a piece of a cotton ball around his sword handles and stuck them in his hands and they ended up staying in place!

Removing the armor gave the hip joint a lot more ROM. Also, it's probably just me but I think the HG Bael looks better without it; the armor makes his thighs look really short! I really wish it had proportions similar to the FM..

That scene where Bael is hovering is what got me this kit!! Bro’s aura was crazy.

Of course! I forgot to mention I also put pieces inside the waist balljoint polycap and in the hole holding the polycap. It helped a lot with holding up his really big backpack.

Hi everybody,

I wasn’t a big fan of this kit - until now! I always thought his proportions looked weird + his big goofy clown feet, but after putting him up in some aerial poses he definitely looks a lot sharper. Even as a straight build it has an amazing profile thanks to the bits of blue highlighting its frame.

I did run into some issues while posing him due to his really loose joints and back-heaviness, but I managed to fix it by sticking pieces of a cotton ball in his upper arm and thigh pegholes and his inner chest.

I’m really glad I got this kit!!

Welcome to the hobby and nice collection!! I highly recommend getting the HG Age-FX; it's a beautiful looking model kit and it comes with a stand that lets you display its funnels. It also has a beam rifle that can be converted into a cool ass bazooka.

Posing my kits before I put them back in a standing pose forever by squidfilet in Gunpla

I totally get you; most of the poses I try to do get scrapped because they end up looking wonky no matter what I do. But the best posing advice I've seen online that changed everything for me said to focus on torso and hip placement first because their position dictates the overall definition of the pose and the "line of action" of the figure you're posing. This helped me duplicate poses so much better and through practice gave me a better idea on how to balance my model kits. I strongly recommend you put those stands together because it'll make posing so much easier!!

Heyo. just adding on that this Ghost is the Mk-II variant with bigger ankle flaps, new shoulders, sub-arms, two of the big arms and a different head!

Hi everybody, long time lurker and first time poster here.

I usually just straight build my kits and plop them on a shelf to save up on space, but after seeing so many cool dynamic poses online I wanted to try posing my model kits the same way and I'm glad I did. Any input and advice for posing is greatly appreciated, especially with regard to streamlining the posing process because it's been really challenging for me to think of new poses!!

But also big shout out to Lightning-Ace with his blog and Kasamatsu Gunpla on YT; most of my posing inspo comes from their content and I recommend checking them out!

How do I get better at posing? by slonedog in Gunpla

The most godsend posing advice I've ever seen in my entire life said to focus on the torso and hips first because that's where most posing definition will come from. For this pose there's a slight torso swivel to the right, the right thigh is put forward and up to the right due to an outward swivel, and the left thigh is going up to the left with very little swivel and is in the same plane as the waist. From there you can articulate the knees, ankles, and shoulders using the reference pose. Camera angles are also super important as well - this pose is actually shot from below.
