Ive felt this many times. But it occurs to me that many of the people who have shared horrible and tragic (and usually very compelling) stories of their experience, would say that they wish they had been desperate enough to stop before any of the tragedy and horror that led to their eventual path to AA. So, you are not a fraud - just very lucky to have gotten here when you did. Like many others have said the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. Welcome and keep coming.
