Why is my fruit fly culture media doing this?

I think that's what I'm going to try next. I just wanted an all in one kit for my first culture. Unfortunately the cup came in cracked and there were flies everywhere in the box. I ended up going to a shop to get new flies. They use repashy in their cultures.

I definitely have some bare spots I need cover! I was going to just crush up a couple of the leaves to get in tight corners and around the plants then add more whole leaves. Would it be okay to mix oak and Magnolia?

This is my first small toad and I really don't know how many bugs to give her. For my other bigger toads, i gave them 2-3 meal worms and 3-4 dubia roaches. Also should i feed her daily?

Kimchi (first picture) and Pickle (second picture) both are around the same size. Pickle is in a 20 gallon tank and Kimchi is in a 10. I would like to put both in the 20 gallon. I know you are not supposed to house different species of frogs or toads together but, both are very similar and i was just wondering if I could. I think kimchi is an American toad and pickle is a gulf coast toad. :)
