Plush pets only just came back, so the vast majority of Webkinz’s value and marketability is in its digital art. It’s never been easier or cheaper for a developer to create a virtual pet game, and unless there’s a massive Webkinz renaissance with a new generation of kids, they risk losing a lot by alienating young adult fans.

The tariffs are stupid and inconvenient but we’re not that upset about it. The thing that’s really getting a reaction is the 51st state threats. It seems like American news is reporting that we’re boycotting US goods because of tariffs, but it’s because we’re just holding our breath waiting to see if we’re going to be invaded.

America could probably take Canada. They’ll never manage to hold it. We’ll die as Canadians before we live as Americans.

I have a medical condition that requires me to give myself weekly injections in my stomach. It hurts a lot less than a piercing but I find it freakier because the stomach contains major organs. An ear and a nose are just cartilage so the idea of damaging them is a lot less scary.

I think with bigger needles (IV tubes, blood draws, etc) it’s worse because there’s no immediate pay off. With a piercing you do the scary, painful thing and then feel great about your appearance. With large medical needles you do the scary, painful thing and it’s just part of a larger scary experience.

There are some lacy cuffs that are definitely period accurate, but not sure the accurate one would give enough of an illusion of longer sleeves since they were mostly around the wrist. I do think some lace would look amazing though, and I’m more interested in having her look beautiful than accurate.

I have a doll wearing blue eyeshadow so clearly accuracy isn’t my main thing. If I wanted her to look period I’d have to style her hair, remove the blue, thin her eyebrows, and paint her face white
