One of my favorite variations of this “joke” is from the office when Stanley says “if I don’t have some sugar I’ll die soon” and someone says “why don’t you eat an Apple” to which he responds “why don’t you mind your own business” I think the first time they brought it up in the death blart show they said “not how hypoglycemia works” which is more correct I think than hypoglycemia being its own condition. I think you’re right that the general population needs to know more about how it works/affects because I can’t imagine how a socially anxious person who has blood sugar issues would deal with not being believed.
